She moved there this past February and has been lucky enough to already have some friends which she met through her husband, but also charming and witty enough to make some amazing new friends through connections, random play dates and social media (facebook, what would we be doing with out you).  Here I took the opportunity to capture some of her friends children.  Yes.. I am capturing beautiful memories... One day these kiddies will say: " Ah, this one was when we lived in Holland. My mom said..this that and the other..and my dad used to say so and so and I remember when...." :)

In his memory, she had the idea that we use his clothes and his watch in these images.  To me they become a moment of reflection, a moment to hold him tight, to have him in her arms and to have him by his son. These pictures are an heirloom to his children, and a flame of memories about their father.

Luis, you are dearly missed.

I bought these wings on ebay and when I was called to captured this two week old newborn I new I had to take them out and use them!! Angels are such a blessing and this baby boy has made a lot of people very happy! 

Below is a princes in the making. One month old exactly and although I was nervous how fusy she might be and whether I would be able to keep her sound sleep as I moved her around, I was pleased when she was in 7th heaven!  Unfortunately my camera's shutter mirror fell off and I was in a panic.  Did my beautiful camera just break!? What was I to do?! I wouldn't be able to afford another and unless I rented one for every shoot I would be out of business. Thankfully we had already captured about 150 images and thankfully my amazing man was able to fix my camera. As it turns out this is common to happen on Canon 5D's! Lucky me..now it's repaired. :)

Hamilton Park - Jersey City, NJ May 21st.

A few people took advantage of my spring offer for the mini session.  Here I spent a beautiful Saturday morning with the sunny smile of this cute little boy!.  His laughter warmed me up and I loved chasing him around just to get more. :)

Today I woke at 5AM.  My normal approach of turning around and pretend to sleep did not work.  It’s not stress, but motivation. It's also that now that I'm back in school at Parson's School of Design, my brain is exited every single day!

I have been letting this blog slip by and decided I needed to post the PHIL ‘N THE VOID pictures.  It was a great pleasure to be hired by Anthony to shoot them in action this January at Rhythm’s in Manville NJ. PHIL ‘N THE VOID is a New Jersey based band that play a mix of classic, pop-rock hits.  If I wasn't working, I would have been dancing!  Great people, amazing show and great images!!    Thank you Anthony! www.philnthevoid.com
